X-Rays & Ultrasound for Pets

Not everything shows up in bloodwork, and that’s where imaging comes in. At our Denver animal hospital, we use digital X-rays and ultrasound to examine your pet’s bones, joints, soft tissues, and internal organs in a noninvasive, pain-free way.

We use x-rays to:

  • Diagnose fractures, arthritis, and orthopedic issues

  • Evaluate the chest for heart disease or lung concerns

  • Detect foreign bodies, tumors, or abnormal organ size

  • Screen before surgery or during wellness visits as needed

  • Examine tooth roots and supporting structures during comprehensive dental cleanings

We use ultrasound to:

  • Visualize internal organs in real time

  • Assess the liver, spleen, kidneys, bladder, and GI tract

  • Evaluate abdominal pain, vomiting, or abnormal lab results

We can also schedule in-house echocardiograms with board-certified veterinary cardiologists. These advanced heart ultrasounds provide critical insights into your pet’s heart structure and function, all without needing to leave the comfort of our hospital.

CT Scans for Denver Pets

One of our most exciting diagnostic offerings is our in-house, stand-alone CT machine (Revolution ACT), a powerful tool rarely found in general practices across the Front Range. CT (computed tomography) scans allow us to create high-resolution, cross-sectional images of your pet’s body, offering unmatched detail and accuracy.

This technology is especially helpful for diagnosing:

  • Nasal disease, oronasal fistulas, and dental complications

  • Complex orthopedic or neurologic conditions

  • Abdominal or chest masses

  • Cancer staging and surgical planning

  • Skull, jaw, or spine abnormalities

All CT images are reviewed by board-certified radiologists, giving you and your pet the benefit of advanced specialty care without the long referral delays. We’re also proud to offer CT imaging as a referral resource for other veterinary hospitals in the Denver area.
